Your Children are Listening….GDOP
May 11th 2008
For
the first time in the history of nationwide prayer in Singapore, GDOP
2008’s call for the church to come together in intercession saw a call
to the children as well. 251 children gathered to pray at the Singapore
Indoor Stadium on May 11th 2008.
The
children gathered together in their own prayer meeting with a focus on:
-
A time of Praise and Worship to Honour God
-
A time of waiting upon the Lord, listening to Him and
Journaling the thoughts, impressions, visions and Word He released
to them.
-
Many children received pictures of the gates of heaven.
-
Children as young as 8 or 9 years of age drew out the complete
gospel story, of man’s sin, of Christ’s work on the cross, of
man’s freedom from the yoke of sin after belief in Christ and a
living relationship with Jesus as King of our lives!
-
Several children received clear calls to share the gospel with
their peers and in their generation.
-
Children were convicted of personal issues they needed to put
right with God
-
Families were lifted up to the Lord in prayer as the Lord
impressed on the children to put Jesus as Lord of their
families.
-
A time to pray for Singapore
-
A time to pray for the nations
-
Myanmar was lifted up to the Lord : this nation that has
recently been hit by cyclone Nagris.
-
The
Lord released a picture of a flag to a child – this child
started drawing the flag, without knowing which country’s flag
she was drawing. It was only later that the flag was identified
to be that of the nation of Brunei.
-
The
Lord laid it on the hearts of the children to pray for Africa.
-
A declaration over the children was made, that
they ‘may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault
in a crooked and depraved generation, in which (they) shine like
stars in the universe as (they) hold out the Word of life’ (Phil
2:14-16)
‘From
the mouth of babes and infants you have ordained praise, because of your
enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger’ Ps 8:2
‘I praise you Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden
these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little
children.’ Matt 11:25

The Gates of Heaven and the Gospel Message

Gospel

Vision: I saw 2 roads ending up to 2 doors. Many people were walking on
one road, which was wide and big. At the end of that road was a door
opened and in it was fire. And the people who were walking towards that
door were wearing blindfolds. On the other road, there were fewer people
walking on that narrow road. And at the end of that narrow road was a
door opened and I could see a cross through that door and there was
light shining out. Then God told me that I should keep on praying and
preeching the gospel to those people who were walking on the wide road
walking towards the fire.
